Met Gala 2024: We Take A Look Behind-The-Scenes As Little Simz Prepares For Her Debut Appearance
Stripping back the star's first Met Gala appearance, ELLE UK takes a look at the finer details of her all-Burberry look.
Little Simz has long been in her own lane when it comes to fashion. Refusing to comply to any rules, trends or expectations, it would seem the musician – who is ELLE UK's June cover star – enjoys dressing to her own tune. Looking at her career, Simz' sense of style has played a pivotal role in her sense of expression, much like her music.
Take her songs 'Gorilla' and 'Point And Kill', featuring Obongjayar, or 'Woman', featuring Cleo Sol. In every music video the artist proves herself to being a continuous fashion and beauty bender, one time leaning towards redefined silhouettes and in another to contemporary streetwear, all the while keeping her sculpted dreads woven into intricate styles.

Walking the Met Gala carpet for the first time on Monday, Little Simz's look was true to the star's signature style: classic, carefully considered, and androgynous. The British rapper's entire outfit was designed by Burberry's creative director, Daniel Lee.
Simz's outfit consisted of a double-breasted, off-white leather jacket, which finished just above her ankles. Bronze gold embellishments detailed her sleeve straps and the shoulders of her jacket. Floral detailings were sewn along her arms and the bottom of her jacket, making way for cascading fringe tassels. To accessorise, she wore structured gold rings and earrings.
