I'm in my last year at school & in textiles I am making some fashion accessories based on 'The History Of Pink' and really I'm seeking advice and also background information for my project. There wasn't really a topic for me to put this in so please excuse me for putting this random post up, but I really just want more opinions. I understand that pink is a girly colour, but I have done my research & found out that it actually originates from the War of the Roses. They mixed both the red rose and white rose together, and made the colour pink, so this colour had originated from men! Strange, I know: but I want to know what people think? As pink is an appealing colour to me, I honestly find it sexy when men where the colour. To be honest, I don't see a lot of men celebs wearing the colour either. Why?
Please could you let me know what you think & get back to me? Because this subject has left me in a piddle, and I think it would be great to get other peoples opinions. Thank you ever so much!

Ok first of all do you mean wear pink not where...
The main reason is stereotype, from the minute children are born they have that difference in colour, you know the old pink for the girl and blue for the boy! So its been drilled into them right from the start. So people just recognize it as a “feminine” colour. I would say its fading out more, because if you look at old movies and pictures men always wore dark colours, especially in the west. And maybe that was because colour was harder to achieve in the olden days, bright colours like pink where easier accessed in china, and india.
