‘Hair accessories for a/w09 should be very visual and make a statement, but without being too overt. Strong, symmetrical Barette clips used in multiples, in elegant gold, silver and bronze are perfect if your style is classic, while retro-style comb grips in transparent or black are young and cool. Place in parallel lines at the side of the head, or at the back by sweeping hair to one side – very Alice Dellal. The trick is to make sure your accessories are working as a subtle, yet purposely placed, part of your style ensemble.’
