Balmania Beauty
It’s not just fashion that’s been captivated by Christophe Decarnin’s dazzling creativity at Balmain - the beauty world has taken note too. A/W catwalks were awash with glitter, gloss and embellishment confirming it as one of the season’s hottest trends. At several shows eyes were the best canvas for glitzy looks, at Prada eyes were decorated with copper toned glitter while at Fendi and Marni wet-look silver and gold were the bling tones of choice, adding a luxe edge to bare faces. Wet, glossy eyes sexed up sophisticated claret lips at Moschino Cheap and Chic while at Donna Karan and House of Holland gloss textures provided a chic, lived-in dimension to mink and purple lids. Acid pink, velvety textured lips looked fierce against nude faces at Antonio Berardi - think of these as the perfect partner to sharp shoulders and studded pieces. If accessories are more your thing, up the glam ante with subtly sexy bottom lashes as seen at PPQ or statement nails inspired by Thakoon and Christian Dior.
