London s/s2010 make-up trends round up

The biggest beauty news from London’s s/s 2010 catwalks was colour as pastel, neon and rainbow hues were spotted everywhere from Issa to Paul Smith. The look was mostly focused on eyes as some designers chose to blend shades all the way from lid to brow in homage to 1970s disco. Others like Luella, opted for bold blocks of bright colour that were graphic and unmistakably punky and make-up artist Pat McGrath made her colours iridescent (at Issa), likening them to ‘a tropical storm.’
In contrast, natural shades and new biscuit washes were the colour-shy alternative. This look was best seen at Amanda Wakeley, Vivienne Westwood Red Label and Todd Lynn where Lisa Eldridge smudged sand and chocolate shades around the whole eye creating a look she called ‘desert nomad’.
