Jewel eyes
Gemstones and precious metals inspired a host of different looks backstage this season. At Costume National CNC make-up artist Sally Branka injected elegance into a punky ‘club kid’ look with wet-look sapphire eyes, while at Prada an austere collection was given a lift with burnished ruby lids that twinkled with glitter. At Fendi soft silver was shimmered up to the brow bone and at Marni make-up artist Tom Pecheux created glossy gold eyes to mirror the jewellery in the collection. ‘The modern way to wear rich colour on your eyes is to keep the rest of the face neutral and perfectly polished’ Pecheux told us.
