Supermodel Skin
Dewy skin glowed on the a/w09 catwalks, thanks to hours of prepping backstage. ‘We want the models to have a supernatural glow so we’re giving them facials with lots of massage to really plump the skin’ said make-up artist Lucia Peroni at Missoni. To accentuate beautiful skin, shimmering oyster shades were dusted along cheekbones, down the nose and around the temples at Jonathan Saunders and Jaeger. ‘Highlights give the face subtle definition that’s so flattering, it’s like a pumped-up version of a nude face’ said make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury at Blumarine, where the look was inspired by glossy 80s supermodels. At Paul & Joe and Stella McCartney rosy, taupe tones gave cheekbones definition, while at Etro foundation mixed with iridescent cream (try Strobe Cream, £20.50, by Mac) gave skin a youthful glow.
