Brace yourselves – we have a nail. After the endless days of New York nail nakedness, we began to despair of ever seeing some top tip art again. Thankfully Butter London guru, Katie Hughes has saved the day and come up with a pink and black marble effect she’s calling ‘sophista-delic’ at PPQ. Check out her step-by-step guide in the video below.
And as nails went stripy, hair went sixties. Creating a slight bouff at the front with a flash of GHD Root Lift, stylist Kenna slicked the sides down with the Final Fix Hairspray. To bump up the pony, he wrapped a section of hair around the base and topped it with a Swarovski bracelet made specially for PPQ designers, Percy Parker and Amy Molyneaux before folding the ends under with the GHD Classic Styler.
So far, so sophisticated. Bringing the psychedelic reference to the table, the lime green shade in the Eye Divine Supreme Palette from the new PPQ for Sleek Makeup collection (in Superdrug from Tuesday) graced eyelids in a half moon shape before Truly Mattly Lip Gloss in pink Soul perfected the colour clash.
Bold, luxe and just a little bit bonkers it may be but PPQ is already rocking SS13’s best party hard look.
