When we caught wind that would be relocating from Paris to London for the AW16 show, our imaginations went wild. What would the backstage teams conjure up to mark such a momentous event?

Naturally, they didn't disappoint. It was everything we'd hoped for and then some. With extra glitz thrown in for good measure.

Legendary hairstylist and all-round creative genius, Guido, cooked up a showstopping style that left us in total awe.

'It's essentially a twisted wrap with a whole lot of jewellery chucked on top,' he told us backstage before the show.

He was, of course, being extremely modest – even he, one of the best hairstylists on the entire planet, was stretched for time creating the look on an epic casting of 38 models.

First things first, he created a deconstructed, dishevelled hair texture with Redken Windblown Spray before bundling it all up into a twist and adorning it with everything from rings to brooches and supersized safety pins.

‘The clunkier and more eccentric the better,’ he added. ‘At first I wanted it to look a bit “off” but it actually just looks really pretty and romantic.’

Hold on a tick - has Guido just proved there’s no such thing as too many hair accessories? We think so. And we’re so on board. *Rushes off to raid jewellery box*
