She is a singer with a big voice and an even bigger social media following, so it makes sense for Ariana Grande, the singer, to become Ariana Grande, the brand. And there is no better way to carve out a brand than with a fragrance deal (even though, with her love of ponytails she could have totally gone down the hair accessory route, maybe that’ll be next?)

‘I have always been obsessed with perfume,’ says Grande in a statement. ‘I always carried like six different scents in my bag, another three in my suitcase and another couple in my car.

‘I’m asked so often about which fragrance I’m wearing, or if I have a signature scent. I do have favorites, but I really want to create something that encompasses everything I love…which is why I am so excited to create my personal fragrance I can call my own.’

The singer has signed a deal with Luxe Brands with a launch date of September 2015. With more than 24 million Facebook and Twitter followers, then a further 25 million following her on Instagram, we predict a sell-out.
