Ear piercings? We've all got em. So there is only so much excitement we can muster about a new stud. Daith piercings piqued our interest for a minute, but the second they're designing high street mannequins complete with daiths, we're outtie.
However, our love for ear-embellishments will never die.
Forget the tucked-in, behind-the-ear tatt, because there's a new inking in town and we're hopping on this tattoo party train.
Now, (finally) someone has heard our calls for something new and creative, as a unique piece of auricle art has come into the scene, and naturally, we're all ears.
A teeny tiny, delicate tattoo inked right on the ear's upper-outer curve, otherwise known as the helix.
We have no idea how, but tattoo artists are managing to craft beautiful floral designs down the impossibly small space. The outcome of which is intricate, dainty, fresh and prettier than any piercing. Erm, hello new summer body art.
Obviously, it's already becoming a thing on Instagram, with new takes on the Helix Tatt popping up every day. It seems to particularly hold favour with minimalists, as it's the perfect place for delicate designs.
So, if you're thinking about upgrading your ears anytime soon, who needs ear piercings, when you could get a Helix tattoo?
