I remember when I got my first car, it was a red Peugeot 106 (wasn't cool enough for a 206) that my dad said was "a great runner". I can remember sitting in it for the first time and putting the indicator on, just listening to that little ticking sound that represented freedom.

Of course I immediately drove to my nearest supermarket to make the purchase I had been waiting my whole life for, the Magic Tree Air Freshener.

As I wrapped that tiny bit of elasticated string around my rear view mirror, I knew that in the words of Britney Jean Spears, I was no longer a girl...but not yet a woman.

Two years and two crashes later, I had upgraded from Magic Tree to Yankee Candle and my little Peugeot met his maker.

But if my little red motor was alive today he would have had a seriously bad and boujee makeover because everybody's favourite candle brand, Diptyque is launching a range of luxury car air fresheners.

The Un Air de Diptyque launches in September and is one of those fancy air fresheners that you stick on your car vent.

Each one has a price tag of £40 and promises to last for three months. Of course this does mean you probably won't be able to afford petrol. But hey, at least your car will smell nice when you're sitting on the drive not going anywhere.
