Notes of ginger, cinnamon and buttery tonka bean made autumn's perfume offerings as moreish as a pumpkin spice latte.
But with winter on its way, the likes of Jo Malone, Byredo and Atelier Cologne are serving up a whole new army of fragrances, and they're just as covetable, if not more so, than the last lot.
Light and sunny notes of jasmine, bergamot and neroli are still hanging around, serving as a reminder that the big chill won't last forever, but they've been paired with warmer, more intense dashes of black vanilla, suede accord, oakmoss, toffee and cocoa - perfect for when the sub-zero temperatures come knocking.

Glossier - £45 for 50ml
Glossier refer to their debut perfume as 'the ultimate personal fragrance... a skin smell enhancer,' packed with snappy pink pepper, green iris root and toasty ambrette. And they're spot on. It smells like a brand new hoodie after you've worn it all day or freshly laundered bed sheets you're reluctant to leave on a cold Sunday morning. Crisp but cosy and warm - we're smitten.
Jo Malone - £94 for 100ml
Jo Malone's newest cologne may be a festive exclusive, but there's absolutely nothing typical about it. Christmassy scents like pine and cinnamon have been kicked to the kerb in favour of redcurrant (zingy and sharp), under-ripe almonds (a little bit grassy) and cosy tonka bean and creamy cedarwood that cling onto the skin like a cashmere sweater. It's a perfume you'll want to wear well into the New Year and millennial pink bottle is the icing on the cake.
