It doesn't matter how busy you get, make sure you cleanse and moisturise morning and night; it's surprising how quickly your skin can go awol when you veer from your daily regime. I keep a cleansing water and cotton wool (more effective and just as quick as wipes) on my bedside table for those nights when I'm too tired to cleanse thoroughly over the basin.
When you’re busy you need to boost your skincare regime with an antioxidant-rich serum. I recommend Skin Science, a new brand launching at Harvey Nichols this month. The range’s Bio Active Stimulating Serum, £95, contains Zonase X, a natural exfoliant that is more potent than traditional fruit enzymes and Spermine, which is claimed to be the world's most powerful antioxidant, estimated to be around 25 times more powerful than Vitamin E. Use it twice daily under your moisturiser to protect, feed and enhance your skin. For cheaper, but effective, serums look to Estee Lauder's Adavnced Night Repair, £38, while ARK Skincare has a range of serums to suit your skin's needs (the de-stress serum, £34 would be suited to you).
To boost your health take a multi-vitamin if you feel like your diet is slipping and boost your antioxidant levels further with an Omega supplement. If you have a juice or smoothie bar near you (Crussh is great) then treat yourself to one if you know you won't fit in a decent meal. I have also heard great things about Tea Pigs Matcha Green Tea, apparently it boosts your metabolism and energy levels while boasting 137 times the antoxidant power of traditional green tea. Sounds great, but the downside is the price, at £25 a box it doesn't come cheap! But as they say desperate times call for desperate measures. Alternatively, a few members of Team ELLE (myself included) keep Berocca (an effervescent drink containing vitamins and minerals) at our desks for a much-needed boost post-morning coffee and pre mid-morning slump.
