When it comes to make-up the easiest and fastest way to get party ready fast is to play up either your eyes or lips over the make-up you already have on. Keep some bold lipsticks to hand; try Rimmel, Bourjois, L’Oreal or Max Factor for good value lipsticks that combine bold pigment with moisturising formulas.
If you want to play up for eyes a kohl liner is a must – the new Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner, £9.50 (Harvey Nichols or Eyeko.com), is my favourite right now. If you want to ramp up the festive sparkle then layer over with a glitter liquid liner, you can’t beat Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner, £13 (HQhair.com. If glitter isn’t your thing, try a metallic instead – Accessorize Rockstar Liquid Eyeliner in Bronze, £4 (accessorize.com), has caught my eye.
Make sure you have powder and concealer to hand to ensure complexion perfection and you’ll be good to go.
As for hair, if you’ve been wearing it down all day, tip your head upside down and spritz with a little salt spray like TIGI Catwalk Session Series Salt Spray, £9.99 (feelunique.com) for added oomph.
