MAC's Director of Makeup Artistry, James Molloy is our backstage insider in Paris. Working on the biggest shows, he helps create the trends before we even see them. This is what Fashion Week looks like for him.

I'm carrying: This limited edition Comme bag from Tokyo - fits the essentials nicely!

I love: MAC's new Studio Waterweight Foundation (aka the foundation of the season) and this palette of browns and taupe shadows that were used backstage at Ann Demeulemeester. Check out the backstage pass badge 'my hands are my heart'.

The look of the day: 'Girl on the run' make-up by Rudi Cremers, hair by Eugene Souleiman at Ann Demeulemeester.

I ate: Fruit and sweets backstage at Christian Wijnants. We started off healthy then moved on to the pick and mix.

I saw: Bespoke blending to create the lip colour, using MAC Pro Pigment and Lipmix.

I fell in love with: The rusty matte mouth and luminous skin at Christian Wijnants by key make-up artist Inge Grongard.

I snapped: The quiet before the (show) storm. Models and backstage team grabbing a selfie moment with the Eiffel Tower before first looks.
