Perhaps the most daring and definitely the most colourful make-up look we saw at NYFW s/s 2015 - the Badgley Mischka coloured brow. Backstage, make-up artist Tom Pecheux painted the models' eyebrows in a rainbow of shades from baby blue to pastel pink to vivid green.
I myself, am obsessed with big, bold, bushy brows. But coloured? It had never really crossed my mind.
To get the look I mixed together NARS Eye Paint in Iskandar, £18.50, and Tom Ford Eyeliner in Metallic Moss, £26, onto the back of my hand and used a cotton bud to apply the colour onto my brows. I then tidied up any smudges with a cotton bud dipped in Micelar water.
Verdict: I look like I've had a bad reaction to a brow tint. As I'd expected, the look I cooed over backstage doesn't have quite the same effect on me. I nip to Juice Press to buy a green juice (my new favourite juice bar in NYC) and I'm greeted with a double take by the lady behind the counter. Luckily my sunglasses are big and can be used to hide behind on my way back to the hotel.
That said, even though I know I look ridiculous, the brow-appreciator in my still kind of loves them. If I were to wear coloured brows again I'd go for a wash of gold over such a bold shade. Either way it's given me inspiration for my next Halloween/fancy dress outfit.
