Clairol Nice 'n Easy has extended its selection of Colour Blend Foam hair colours, £6.99 each, to an extensive 30 shades.
Despite working in beauty I often dabble with home hair colour since the formulations are now so advanced it's easier to get more professional results in the comfort of your own bathroom. From my experience, however, I wouldn't suggest going for a drastic colour change - that's best left to the professionals. But if you fancy adding a subtle red hue to your naturally brunette hair or lighten your blonde a couple of shades then you're in safe territory experimenting at home.
There are six new Nice & Easy Colour Blend Foam shades to choose from and right now the Soft Black (pictured top left) is the shade du jour right now. 'Blackened Brown', as we have coined it here at ELLE, is the hair colour a slew of models from Edie Campbell to Candice Swanepoel have been trading their blonde hair colour for this autumn.
While a copper, rather than mahogany, red like the shade Medium Auburn (bottom left) is also a popular colour choice right now. Our very own Beauty Director Sophie Beresiner went from brunette to a similar bright cinnamon hue and it caused quite the stir in ELLE HQ.
