This season saw a return to colour on the catwalks. As ever designers favoured a bold beauty look with bright tomato tones stealing focus. The colour was a huge hit at Thakoon, where striking bright orange lips looked classic and wearable against a neutral base and dewy lids a look that epitomized bold, summery freshness. Phillip Lim and Donna Karan showcased more vibrant red, this time etched around eyes.
Elsewhere an insect-inspired trend proved just as colourful, with a stunning contrast of greens, blues and silvers showcasing a beetle-esque beauty. At Prabal Gurung bold electric blues and smokey olive greens were layered to create a show stopping eye look, while Jason Wu kept it simple by creating an intense olive green smokey eye.
