If you saw ELLE's twitter feed last Friday you'll have known it was the final leg of Benefit's brilliant Mascarathon - a run from Edinburgh to London (with giant mascara wand aloft, naturally) in aid of women's charity Refuge. The first of its kind for the brand, it aimed to raise awareness and funds for the charity whose shocking statistics show that police get a call every 60 seconds from a woman in a domestically violent situation.
The aim was to raise £50,000 but in true all-out Benefit style the total last Friday was already £62,000 with more donations still pouring in. The atmosphere at the finish line (where we were waiting with cupcakes, champagne and live band) was as you can imagine, super celebratory. Best of all though, you can still donate.
