The penultimate day of London Fashion Week went by in a blur of smoky eyes, pops of colour and laid-back glamour. We saw some of the most anticipated shows and Instagrammed our way through the lot (follow us for more backstage action ELLEUK).

Our favourite looks of the day…

Christopher Kane:

We thought we had it bad with a 7.30am call time – the beautifying crew for Kane had been there before the sun rose at 5.30am to prep the 54-strong model cast.

Lucia Pieroni for Nars created this tomboy look using two new Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadows (out July) to highlight the lid and cheekbones.

Antonio Beradi:

Gucci Westman for Revlon layered black and emerald green eyeliner on top and bottom lash lines for this ‘Joan Jet’ inspired eye.

Roksanda Ilincic:

Last season we fell in love with the giant black bow, this time around we’re head-over-heels enamoured with this undone ponytail and block headband combo. By Luke Hersheson for L’Oreal Professionnel.

Lucia Pica for Mac had us equally smitten with this gorgeous tonal eye, subtle contouring and peachy lip.

Erdem:

Backstage legend Val Garland for Nars gave the models smudgy black eyes with lipgloss over the lid. Key products: Nars Tinted Moisturiser and Eyeliner Pencil in Via Veneto.

Burberry:

Peter Pilotto:

Super sleek has taken on a whole new meaning. This is PVC hair – and we’re oddly really into it. Work of the creative genius Anthony Turner for L’Oreal Professionnel.

Giles:

Cobalt blue liner on the bottom lash line and smoky black on the top – simple yet so, so effective; that’s the magic of make-up artist Lucia Pieroni.

Our favourite looks from day one and two.
