No matter what else happens at NYFW, the show can always be replied upon to bring some fun to the party. And from the minute we spied 18 year-old Bosnian model, Amra Cerkezovic curled up outside the backstage entrance reading Blind Woman Sleeping Willow by Haruki Murakami and rocking a multicoloured headscarf, we knew Spring Summer 13 would be no exception.

"This is make-up that you'd apply at a bus stop - it doesn't matter if it looks a bit rubbish," said Shiseido Artistic Director, Dick Page backstage in the melee.

Creating a "punky, scrubby" vibe, he encircled the eye with Shiseido's Shimmering Cream Eye Shadows in Sable BR709 and Caviar BK912, bypassed blush and added a touch of pinky rose for a "nothing-y lip".

Partner in crime, Guido styled hair that played second fiddle to the headscarf. Prepping it with Redken Guts 10, he whisked it up in a haphazard way - as if the girls had done it themselves - before tying this punky, cool, kooky look up with a twist of a silken scarf.
