I was so excited to get my hands on Ciaté's new Caviar Manicure kit, £18, launching May. And finally I have had a chance to put it to the test!

The Caviar manicure comes in three colour-ways – black, white and multi-coloured and looks really effective; and what appears to be a fiddly manicure, is actually super easy to do.

First, paint your nails with the polish provided in the kit. You should do this over a clear base coat, of course, not days old nail polish like I just did because, in my eagerness, I couldn't even wait to look for nail polish remover.

Once the first coat is dry, apply a second coat.

Before the second coat dries pour the beads (or as they have called them 'caviar') out of the bottle and onto your nails. The kit comes with a tray and funnel, so you don't lose tons of beads every time you pour.

I did all 10 nails and barely skimmed the surface of my 'caviar' supply. No top coat is required as this look is all about texture, but you should use a little on the very edge of your nails where there is likely to be some fall out.

The white and multi-coloured kits are winging their way to ELLE HQ next week, and I was going to experiment with different nail art looks that can be achieved with the kits. Would you like to see an ELLE Beauty Bites how-to video using the Caviar Manicure Kits?

Let me know below and, in the meantime, check out my Beauty Bites Dolly Bun How-to video here...

The Caviar Manicure kits, £18, will be available in Selfridges and online at ciate.co.uk from May.
