Cor skincare has been on our radar for a while and is big in the States with both men and women (Jessica Biel and Glee's Cory Monteith are fans). But now the US brand is breaking into the UK beauty world with the launch of its website - corsilver.co.uk.

At the core of Cor is The Silver Soap. The futuristic looking orb, housed in an acrylic cube is light years ahead of traditional soaps; containing great quality skincare ingredients (more often found in high-end moisturisers) it can be used by all skin types... on the face! ( I know, I'm not a soap and water kinda girl either, but bear with me).

What sets this soap apart is its unique compound comprised of Collagen, Sericin (a protein that protects skin from the elements) and Chitosan (a fibre that promotes cellular regeneration), as well as a nano-particle delivery system from Japan that drives the ingredients deep down into your skin, clever! Of course, it also contains silver which is antibacterial making this soap the perfect choice for anyone with stressed-out skin (read: spots and inflammation). A host of other ingredients are packed into the soap including Hyaluronic Acid, Pomegranate, Aloe Vera, Jojoba, Avocado, Vitamin A and E which work together to moisturise and protect.

It left my city skin squeaky clean (although it did back down against my lashings of mascara - I used a separate eye make-up remover) and has calmed my problem skin no end. It doesn't come cheap at £35 for 30g and £100 for 120g, but you can buy a trial 10g size for £15.
