You know when a fashion week is nearing the end when the madness begins to set in. And as stylists, make up artists and models began to feel the effects of a week in the fashion fast line, the backstage references got a little bit more bonkers.
In a crowded backstage area at the Lincoln Centre, nail artist Honey cocktailed up a custom blend colour for from a new, super slick collection of Maybelline Colorshow polishes, (Britain-bound early next year). Calling it a "creamy, peachy, popsicle kiss of deliciousness," she added a dash of the tangy orange Sweet Clementine and pearly Porcelain Party shades to a swig of pale pink Born With It.

Over at Michael Kors, the eye liner was as tired as the models - and drifted up, up and away above the eyelid crease in a punky blue or green shade mixed up by make up artist, Dick Page.

Against the backdrop of a "stripped down face", Page ensured the band of colour became SS13's first "floating detail".

Finally, James Pecis took to ponytails - via a "postmodern picnic" at . Teasing the crown with Bumble and Bumble's Thickening Spray, he created a diagonal side parting, keeping a front section free before drawing the rest of the hair into a ponytail on the bone at the back of the head.

Allowing the front section the briefest meeting with a tong to add volume and shape, he fed this into the pony and wrapped a piece from the tail around the base for a polished finish that wouldn't be out of place at a summertime picnic.
