If you’re not familiar with the term above (neither were we before this morning), a ‘Swifty’ is a diehard Taylor Swift fan. Of course we’ve seen her in pap shots on various red carpets, always in a fab frock and sporting a flawless red lip, but apart from that we knew very little about her. Well now we know a lot more. First, there’s the off-the-scale music career (Grammy winner, Billboard’s 2011 Woman of the Year and over 22 million albums sold worldwide so far), then there is the film career (she's starred alongside 'Twilight' star Taylor Lautner in 'Valentine's Day') and now, fragrance designer. All this and she's only 22 (ok, we feel very inadequate now).

But, back to the fragrance. Taylor was involved in every aspect of its design from choosing a gourmand fragrance (meaning that it uses edible notes, in this case vanilla) to the bottle design (purple is her favourite colour and the charms represent her hobby of collecting vintage bird cages) and finally to the box, which features patterns from the fabric swatches she collects. And if you’re a true ‘Swifty’ you’ll recognise the name ‘Wonderstruck’ from a lyric in her song, 'Enchanted'.

It’s already hugely successful in America where it has been out for a few months, and that success if looking likely to follow suit here in the UK. You don’t have long to wait to get your hands on it either - it launches here on the 25th of July and costs £29 for 50ml edp.

Beautiful flowers from this morning's launch over breakfast

Taylor couldn't make the launch as she's in Nashville recording her next album but she did send over the dress that she wears in the campaign in her place. It's designed by Christian Siriano and no, we sadly were not allowed to try it on.
