Fresh from a mid fashion month sojourn in the countryside at his home in upstate New York, Orlando Pita was on fire backstage at with a toolkit of tricks up his sleeve and ‘way out there’ reference tripping off his tongue.

Picturing a curious hybrid of eighties model, Leslie Winer and Princess Stephanie of Monaco, Pita pulled off a pony – then signalled a new season take on the ‘faux buzzcut’. Leaving the top section free, he slicked the sides back with his secret weapon – Let’s Jam Gel by SoftSheen Carson – before securing them in a pony on the bone of the head.

Then for his next trick. A sprinkling of Osis Dust It, (a kind of ‘powdery wax’) through the top section to add lift as this was secured in another pony plum on top of the first. The result? A buzz cut-like look – but without a razor in sight.

Which left Val Garland, (wearing her favourite Chanel Frenzy nail varnish no less) to whip up a “scribbly eye”. NARS Zandoz Single Eyeshadow and Black Moon Eyeliner pencil were blended over lids as she bypassed mascara and created a “perfect, gorgeously highlighted, sporty skin” – then snuck Monsieur Mouret into her hot seat for a touch of pre-show grooming to steady his nerves.
