Working with Todd is always a journey and this season we bypassed the lions, got a peak at the giraffes and ended up with a woman who's spent the last few days on safari.
I love to create make up that's been affected by the weather so the throbbing heating of the Serengeti provided the perfect excuse to create sun-burnished, balmy skin with a really luxurious sheen.
The trick? Mix Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24hr Eye Shadow in Pink Gold into BB Dream Fresh and pat it onto eyelids, across the bridge of the nose and down the front of arms and legs before adding a flash of Vaseline on the cheekbones to complete this "Veruschka on safari" vibe.
With minutes to go in the heat of the Somerset House backstage area, I felt like I was on safari myself as I asked my team to add the finishing touch: "More, more, more irridescence!".
