Bumble and Bumble is arguably the coolest hair brand around and a trip to the House of Bumble , 415 West 13th Street, did little to dispel that reputation.
It's a hair salon and 'university' in one positioned in a very cool location - a mere hop and a skip (in Manolo's, of course) from Soho House.
On the eight floor the salon makes the most of the views with movable full length mirrors and salon chairs so for my appointment I was looking out across the Hudson river.
I only went for a trim but Sarah my stylist did a brilliant job making my beachy textured hair (in other words dry and split) look like it did when I came in but better. I'm not one for a big salon blow-dry and Sarah got that, so she had my hair diffused dry instead of blown out.
While I was there I took time to check out the Bumble hair powder (rumour has it coloured spray-in powders are launching soon...) and peruse the Bb drinks menu.
Next time you're in NY swing by for a browse, a blow-out or a haircut I'd thoroughly recommend it.
