Ah Jen, you may not have the man, but boy do you have great hair. Team ELLE was bowled over by the gorgeous wavy locks Jen showcased at the Late Show with David Letterman in New York yesterday. It is surfer-girl-meets-Park-Avenue-Princess, thanks to the incomparable shine, sunkissed highlights and effortless waves.
As a not-so-closet Jen fan (yes, I did head down to Leicester Square last week to catch a glimpse of my favourite friend at the Bounty Hunter premiere), I was elected to talk Jen's hair.
'Jennifer Aniston's style is quite uncomplicated and it's the hair's great condition and gorgeous shine that really gives it A-list impact,' says Ben Cooke, celebrity stylist and co-founder of Lockonego Hair Salon in Chelsea.
To get a glossy mane, Jonathan Long (Lockonego's other co-founder) recommends adding Herbal Essences' new Beautiful Ends Leave-in Split End Protection Cream, £3.99 to your arsenal of hair products; if your hair is really in need of some TLC a trip to a salon for a professional treatment will have you sorted out in no time. If you're not near London, your local salon should offer a repairing treatment to suit you.
Once your hair is looking suitably A-List shiny you can start styling.
'To achieve the look, spritz the hair with some Sebastian Trilliant, £17.50, to protect it from heat-styling and to maximise shine.' explains Jonathan.
'Start by taking uneven sections of the hair and roughly tong each section with something easy to use like a Yogi Wand. You want to create unevenness so dont be too regimented with it. Make sure you leave a few ends straight when you tong so it has a loose and not so perfect finish.'
Once you have created messy curls, brush them out lightly for a tousled look. Finish with some hairspray that adds even more shine to the hair like Sebastian's Re-Shaper hairspray, £13.50.'
