At Julien Macdonald today hairstylist Martin Cullen said the hair was so easy you could do it yourself.

So I thought I'd recreate it. Using the products from the show (I got the okay to borrow them, promise...) I put the hairstyle on trial.

First, I spritzed my hair (freshly washed this morning) with L'Oreal Paris Studio Matt & Messy Shine-free Salt Spray which gave it a dry, beachy, grungy texture. Next, I took a little of the Architect Shine Wax and rubbed it between my fingers before massaging into my hair. You basically want to erase that clean hair feel.

Then, I pulled the hair back to the nape and scrunched it round as if creating a chignon, but instead of tucking the ends in I left them out, pinning the pleat to secure it in place.

Last, I pulled out some pieces at the front and sides and there you have it! I may not be able to wear the clothes from the show until autumn, but the hair is mine right now.

After just five minutes I had three comments of 'ooh, I love your hair' and it was so easy.
