Mad for Moodie

Last night I paid a visit to the newly vamped Windle & Moodie salon in London’s Covent Garden. Previously known as Windle the new salon is the result of the long-standing partnership between hair entrepreneur Paul Windle and session stylist Neil Moodie and boy, is it a beauty.

Not only did I love the sleek styling stations (with curved mirrors so you can see your new do at every angle), the shrine to all Neil’s session work down the staircase was pretty impressive (he’s done A LOT), as was the zen-like backwash area. Most ingenious though is the Revolving Hairstyles installation in the salon’s windows, a selection of 3D videos showing the team’s creative efforts, a novel way of showing off exactly what you could get if you book in. Of course the products on offer are top notch too, all your favourite Bumble & Bumble goodies (with some even available in super sizes, *scream*) as well as the salon’s own, utterly brilliant WAM styling tongs.

Covent Garden get ready: I predict a stampede.
