Last night I met Dot, the latest fragrance from Marc Jacobs. Following on from the success of Daisy and Lola comes this 'eclectic fragrance with an upbeat spirit'.

The scent and packaging (the bottle is as brilliantly creative as those that have gone before) is inspired by Jacobs' love of polka dots. 'I don't think there is ever a wrong time for a polka dot...' he muses. Polka dots featured in his first ever collection and it is a print he has returned to regularly ever since.

Dot is described as 'happy and vivacious' and is packed with fruity floral notes like red berries, honeysuckle, jasmine, orange blossom, vanilla and musk. Interestingly it also contains coconut water.

Dot EDP from £37 for 30ml is available exclusively at Harvey Nichols from July 7 and goes nationwide July 25.
