Crussh is a regular lunchtime pit stop of mine - I just can't get enough of their smoothies. So when I saw its new 'Cool Britannia' smoothie on the menu, launched especially to coincide with the Olympics, I had to try it.

It's the most patriotic smoothie I've come across; inspired by the colours of the Union Jack it's made from rapsberries (red), tofu (white) and blueberries (blue). Packed with protein (they also add whey protein and Omega 3-rich chia seeds) it's ideal for any gym bunnies (or Olympians) out there. It tastes creamy and fruity sort of half yoghurt, half milkshake (but with no calorie guilt involved).

Drink it post-workout - the antioxidants in the blueberries mop up any free-radicals released within the body during your session. Or try it early afternoon to ward off that daily energy slump.

It's only available during the Olympics, so make sure you head to your local Crussh this week. If you like it as much as me, maybe we should campaign to have it put on the menu permanently? Give it a try and let me know what you think in the comment box below.
