I'm fairly low maintenance when it comes to my grooming but come spring and sandal weather, top of my beauty list is a thorough pedicure. Although I've tried many in the past I've never found myself completely satisfied – my biggest bugbear being that you can't seem to get the right mix of pampering and serious footcare …is a decent foot massage and good cuticle care really too much to ask for?

Now though, I finally feel like I have found my pedi heaven at Aveda's Institute in central London (salons nationwide too). I've been twice now in as many weeks and not, I hasten to add, because I needed to (each time my polish has still looked shiny and fresh after over a week), but because it's just so good. What makes it so spot-on is that it has a little bit of everything – a proper scrub, some cuticle work, dead skin removal, just enough massage (actually there's never 'enough' when it comes to massage, but you get my meaning) and great polish preparation and execution. With a huge range of OPI colours to choose from and Seche Vite to finish it off, no wonder my feel looked rejuvenated and soft, and my nails came out practically sparkling.
