L’Oreal make-up artist, Val Garland’s, inspiration for the look was 50’s couture, both elegant and edgy – a trend we are seeing across the shows. The skin looked flawlessly groomed and highly polished like the classically chic starlets Grace Kelly and Sophia Loren.
Val’s hero product throughout fashion week mania has been L’Oreal’s Cashmere Perfect Blush. This little gem had a circle of beauty writers ooo-ing and arr-ing, as it's balmy texture adapts to different skin tones, giving your cheeks just the right amount of colour. Lashings of L’Oreal Super Liner was curved across the lid and mascara was a must to keep the eyes looking strong yet feminine. Val used L’Oreal’s False Lash Telescopic.
Nails were kept short and sweet. A chic manicure with only one coat of L’Oreal Colour Riche nail varnish in Opera Ballerina. Nail expert Liza Smith has predicted this will be the must-have shade for Spring Summer 2013 and advises you to opt for milky pinks opposed to deeper nudes.
L’Oreal Professionnel hair stylist, Malcom Edwards, created an inspired look using L’Oreal Professionnel Techni Art Air Fix and his secret weapon in building texture - the L’Oreal Professionnel Play Ball Texture Tonic. The new up do?
