The False Lash Back-lash

By Suzanne Scott

TOWIE returned to our screens last night and what struck me the most (more than the questionable tans, huge veneers and enormous implants) were the false lashes. We all love false lashes but someone needs to tell these girls that bigger is not always better. A good rule of thumb: if they are obscuring your vision or require their own blow dry, they are too big (and this coming from someone who is a self-confessed lash obsessive). I love my lashes long but there is a right and wrong way to go about it. Bin the massive bat wings and try these instead:

Benefit Prima Donna Lash, £11.50: if you want big, go for a feathery set like these instead of a heavy black curtain.

MAC 30 Lash, £10: take total control of how dramatic you take your lashes with these individual flares.

Forgo the falsies altogether with the new L’Oréal Paris False Lash Telescopic, £10.99, (available nationwide) which contains fibres within the formula to lengthen your existing lashes.

My secret weapon has to be My Lash , £205, which when used every day, extends the growth cycle of the hair so they grow longer and fall out less often. I’ve been using it since last April and I’m addicted.
