Recently there's been a distinct parting of the nail ways. For the past seasons, nail art has reigned supreme as the eye-catching, 'it' accessory that anyone who's anyone has sought to copy - and pronto. Yet with SS13 taking a more subdued approach to nails, (nudes have spread from show to show like a beauty contagion) we'd begun to wonder whether the nail art phenomenon would soon die a death.
Stuck between the all-out crackers designs, (, and Fred Butler we mean you) and the beige to greige flesh tones, (, , and are just the well, 'tip' of the iceberg) - we thanked the lord when along came a compromise.
Backstage at Roland Mouret, Anatole Rainey took inspiration from the designer's trademark bias cut dresses and slicked up the bias tip nail. Prepping the nails with a nude, glossy base he then painted Essie's Skirting The Issue raspberry shade in a diagonal stripe across the tip.
Which in our book qualifies as the perfect way to sit on the new season nail art fence.
