Prada's smudgy aquamarine eyes, red stained lip and spider lashes were supposed to represent 'the beginnings of make-up' explained legend Pat McGrath. The trick to getting the lashes? 'Just keep on going, even when you think you should stop'. Sounds easy enough, right?
In between shows I nipped back to my hotel room to give it a go. First up, I applied Tom Ford Eye Pencil in Exotic to the back of my hand and then patted over my eye. Slapdash and a little haphazard was key, going against the 'neat as possible' mantra I usually stick to.
Next up lips, I smudged in Bourjois Lipstick in Deep Red and dabbed over with a tissue to remove the excess.
Taking my Charlotte Tilbury Fat Lashes mascara (quite possibly my all time favourite) I layered and layered and layered some more. I found myself getting excited at the fact I was going against my norm, taking me back to dressing up and raiding my mums make-up bag days.
Unfortunately I'm knocked off my nostalgic pedestal when I take a look at the finished result. Alone in my bathroom, obviously not decked out head to two in a/w 14 Prada, I just look silly.
Verdict: Not a look I'll be coming back to anytime soon but did love the aqua eye shade against my brown eyes. Next time I'll sweep it under my lower lash line for a more wearable version.
