Yesterday afternoon I was backstage at with high expectations as it's always one of my favourites shows. Set in a NCP car park it always has a fun and chilled atmosphere with a killer soundtrack. Last season the look was 'Nana Rave' with pink glittery eyes, which I loved but never fancied wearing myself. But once I saw this season's look, I couldn't wait to #TrialATrend it...

So here I am day three of LFW sporting a raspberry lip and feline flick liner, copying the look created by Lucia Pica for MAC. I didn't have her makeup bag so improvised with my own this morning. Here's the finished look...

I used my Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick for a dewy, medium coverage, then buffed on lots of Tom Ford Bronzer. Next I added a hint of blush, a thin liquid liner flick using MAC Penultimate pen which has such a thin tip it makes definition easy, then lashings of Charlotte Tilburry Mascara.

Now for the real talking point - the lip. Lucia said the trick to this was 'layering'; she used MAC Beat Lip Liner, applied powder, then brushed on a blend of MAC Pro Lip Mixes in Red and Magenta, blotted and added touch of MAC classic red lipstick to finish.

I copied the apply-blot-layer technique with Bobbi Brown lip pencil in Red, blotted with MAC Studio Fix Powder and layered Giorgio Armani Maestro Matte lipstick in 502 over the top.

Verdict? I'm 100% sold. It works for day, night, summer, winter and the layering technique meant that it lasted much longer than my usual lipstick alone.

Wearability: It gets 10/10 from me.
