On a bleak Monday afternoon in the depths of January is probably not the best time to trial a full-on summer beauty look.

The look from the catwalks was beautiful - fuchsia pink lips paired with a softened floating line of frothy aqua green. It reminds me of summers spent in Ibiza - a bohemian, frivolous beauty look, that is super pretty and carefree.

To get the look I applied Aveda Lip liner in Cactus, £14.50, all over my lips followed by Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive, £7,99, blended out at the edges. On eyes I used Marks & Spencer's Holly Sharpe Limited Collection Palette, £12, and blended three of the greeny hues for a softer take on the liner at the show.

I crash landed back into rainy London when a colleague said my look was a bit 'clownish'. At a meeting later that day, I sat down and my colleagues eyes lingered on my face a moment too long, a little later into the meeting a few said how much they liked it. Now, I'm not saying they are lying, but it seemed like they had seen the make-up, slightly panicked about what to diplomatically say and then after a while plumped for a polite 'your make-up looks nice'; or perhaps they did really like it and were surprised to see such a summer's day look at this time of year. Who knows?

All I know is that while I love the pink lip, I'm not really a fan of colourful eyeshadow - a nude eye will always win out over green or blue or yellow for me.
