This is the season to experiment with your eye make-up. Here are the four hottest new looks to try this weekend:

Purple Rain

Jason Wu’s models were given feline-shaped smoky eyes in bold green and dark purple which is a welcome alternative to charcoal. Make-up artist Diane Kendal used Shiseido products to create the look. Try Shisedo’s new Luminizing Satin Eye Color, £22 in VI399 for an intense effect.

Pastel Haze

A sheer wash of sparkling pastel looks super pretty for summer. The good thing about such a translucent shadow is that you don't need to be too precise; models at Alberta Ferretti walked the catwalk with a whimsical hint of pale green and gold. Get the look with MUA Trio Eyeshadow in Eden, £2.50.

White lines

At Viktor & Rolf make-up artist Pat McGrath paired a classic red lip with a flick of liner. The line, instead of being black giving the look a retro feel, was white resulting in a fresh, modern effect. Try MAC Eye Kohl in Fascinating, £13.

Bronze Goddess

Bronze eyes look super sultry, especially with a tan. You just need to look at Lindsey Wixen backstage at Julien Macdonald (pictured) to get the idea. Use Models Own new iridescent Cream Shadow in Fudge, £5 then layer with Bare Minerals High Shine Eye Colour in Gold Medal, £15. Follow with lashings of brown liner and black mascara.
