Vibrams and Converse: the new party shoes

I'm not sure George Clooney's The Descendents co-star Shailene Woodley, 21, has got the hang of party dressing. Case in point: At a Golden Globes after party last night she was spotted in a beautiful one shoulder black gown which she paired with super comfy Vibram FiveFingers running shoes. Say what!?

Now I'm all for Vibrams - barefoot running is a huge trend and something I thoroughly enjoy. The barely-there trainers mimic what it's like to run totally barefoot without getting your feet grubby. The benefits include optimum balance, increased stability, less impact (which can be detremental to your joints) and greater propulsion. While they could make you a better runner, they won't make you any better at partying.

But then another young star Kristen Stewart has taken to wearing her Converse and Nike trainers on actual red carpets, not just to after-parties. Now, I don't know about you but I don't go to many red carpet events so maybe we'll have to pair our party dresses with trainers for a jog around the local park, now that would be a sight.
