Today isn’t just for opening the first door on the advent calendar, it’s also World AIDS Day. To show their support, make-up artists from three MAC stores in London and Manchester (and over 1000 employees worldwide) are casting aside their brush belts to volunteer for AIDS-related charities.

The UK staff will be working with Positively Women and Body Positive – both of which support people living with the disease – redecorating therapy rooms for both organisations. MAC has raised £150,000 for the charities over the past 11 years.

We can all get involved: if you buy the Viva Glam Miracles Happen Lip Kit, £20 or any lip product from the VG line, 100% of the sales will go to the MAC AIDS Fund to resource grants in more than 60 countries. To date, the company has given away more than £90 million worldwide to fight HIV/AIDS.

It’s the month for giving. Please do your bit if you can.
