Yesterday I went to try out MD Formulations’ new facial and take a look at the up-coming launches from Bare Minerals.

I opted for the Illuminating Facial, because it claims to treat superficial pigmentation and scarring – I used to suffer from acne, so my skin needs an extra boost in the skin-tone department now and then.

After a double cleanse, which included my décolletage, I was treated to an invigorating massage and a mask, complete with a cling film overlay and hot towel, which encourages the nutrients to dig deep. The therapist then massaged my scalp (so relaxing I almost fell asleep), massaged my face yet again and gave me a neck rub.

What I loved about this facial was the massaging, which is known to leave skin plump. And at just £40 for 55minutes, it’s a great value treat.

Afterwards, I tested out the new products from mineral make-up range Bare Minersals. I predict that the Flawless Definition Mascara, £14.50, out now and the Get Started Kit, £45, launching in January will fly off the shelves. The Kit contains the brand’s best-selling foundation – this stuff is so good that if you have a breakout you should actually put this make-up on it, as it treats the skin rather than suffocating it.

Could this be the future of make-up? Let us know what you think of mineral products below.
