The eye-catching bun-come-twists at Erdem’s SS10 show were incredibly pretty and, as the creative force behind them Charles Worthington showed me last week, incredibly simple to do. Here’s how:

1.    Starting with dry hair, spritz some salt spray [I love the new version from Charles Worthington Front Row, £5.99), from mid-way down the crown and through the lengths, then use a hair dryer and fingers to tousle.

2.    Pull hair into a ponytail at mid-height and rub random pieces of hair across your crown to give it that prettily dishevelled feel.

3.    Split the ponytail in to two sections and twist them.

4.    Bring the right twist over the left, then loop it back under and up to form a knot.

5.    Pin the knot against your head, leaving the ends of the twists loose.

6.    Finish with some shine spray or a little serum lightly applied with a make-up brush.

Voila – catwalk hair in less than five minutes.
