Although the recent catwalk shows are a preview of what we'll be wearing next spring, it's always nice when we spot a trend during Fashion Week that works right now. Case in point: , which showcased a sexy, glowing look that I've been wearing ever since.

According to make-up artist Lucia Picka, who created the look for designer sisters Sienna and Savannah Miller, it's based on a ‘London girl who's been away for the weekend' – think healthy, sun-kissed skin (winter may be drawing in but who doesn't want that glow all year round?), teamed with softly smudged, smoky eyes.

To create the eyes, Picka used a palette of deep brown and black. 'Use a black shadow [try Carbon by MAC] to trace inside the inner rim of the eye to add definition,’ she told me, ‘then buff a matte brown all over lids and underneath the lower lash line, too. The look you’re after is soft but with intensity'. To add more of a punky edge, add gloss onto lids afterwards - Face Gloss by MAC is brilliant, but Vaseline works well too.

For sun-kissed skin, a creamy blush formula was used to contour cheekbones while foundation just a shade darker than models' skin tones was used to sharpen the bone structure around temples, cheeks and down the nose.

With a look that focuses on the eyes, lips should be kept low key. ‘Pat a little concealer around the edges of your lips but not on them directly,' says Picka. 'It's less dramatic than hiding them altogether and just helps fade the edges out a bit so the lips blend beautifully into the rest of the face'.
