Model Behaviour

Three make-up changes a day, jet-lag, a month of backcombing… With occupational hazards like these, would you leave your looks to chance? In between backstage reporting and front row hob-nobbing Web Beauty Assistant Amy Lawrenson managed to get some of our favourite models to share the skin fixes, mane managers and make-up must-haves that help them keep up appearances during fashion month:

Jourdan Dunn (sitting front row at Topshop Unique)

‘I swear by Clinique’s 3-Step, but instead of using their moisturiser I substitute it for Crème De La Mer, which I’ve been using for years. I always use Armani foundations and I love L’Oreal’s Telescopic mascara’.

Coco Rocha (taking a break backstage at the Vivienne Westwood show)

‘Lancome make-up remover is amazing – it gets rid of everything. Make-up wise, I usually just wear mascara, liner and concealer. Dior’s Backstage Mascara has a really big brush and their new Total Eyelook Make-up Clutch contains the best cream eye liner I’ve tried – it sticks perfectly. I also use a Dior concealer.’

Lara Stone (having her hair blow-dried backstage at Christopher Kane)

‘I don’t really wear make-up off duty as I like to give my skin a break, but I swear by YSL’s Top Secrets Flash Radiance Skincare Brush to give my skin a natural glow. If I do wear make-up, Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage is the best for covering blemishes and I like her Tinted Moisturiser because it isn’t too heavy. Chanel’s Waterproof Mascara is my holiday favourite, as it doesn’t budge.’
