Here are just a few of the things I think are worth sharing:

If you’re looking for a new nude lip liner, buy Long Lasting Lip pencil in Esteban, £20, by Rouge Bunny Rouge. The subtle tones of bronze and pink the hint of metallic sheen make this a lively – not chalky – and flattering nude. It’s so good, mine’s just been nicked by a friend who’s wearing it for her wedding next weekend. Find more Rouge Bunny Rouge products at www.zuneta.com.

Take a tip from Sharon McGlinchey whose facials are a blissful reminder of how good a nurturing, holistic therapy can be (she uses reiki and relaxation as part of her treatment). ‘Use a facial mist to dampen skin just before you apply your moisturiser,’ she told me. ‘It absorbs so much better.’ Find out more about Sharon and her skincare range MV Organic Skincare at www.mvskincare.com

Take the 9-day no-wrinkle challenge with Stemulift Serum, £49, by Adonia. Already loved in LA, it’s reportedly the cream of choice for Anne Hathway and Cameron Diaz, and claims to reduce wrinkles by 43 per cent in just nine days. I’ve been using it for three and like the results so far.

Have fun in the bath with Voya’s Lazy Days Seaweed Bath, £15. Put the net bag of dried seaweed and salt in your bath and watch – and smell – the tub turn in to a mini ocean. The most therapeutic soak I’ve had for ages.

If you can’t quite stretch to £350 for a bespoke facial at the hands of uber-facialist Anastasia Achilleos, try her key techniques at home. After cleansing, use a series of hot compresses – that’s a medium-hot cloth pressed over the face – to cleanse deep and activate the skin. I’ve started doing this at home and it’s made a significant difference to the clarity of my skin.

But before you do, upgrade from a flannel and invest in a Dual Action Professional Cleansing Cloth, £10 for three, by Emma Hardie. It’s got a muslin cloth for swiping off product on one side, and a soft flannel on the other that’s perfect for those compresses. (Out September.)
