‘I want a flat mate so I can practice my English and have fun,’ she told me at a dinner hosted in honour of the new scent (it will be launching in September) at Guerlain HQ on the Champs Elysees last week.

Recently single, the 20-year-old actress and (occasional) model also confessed she has a thing for English men. ‘I love their accent,’ she said, as we both tucked in to our three-course meal.

The up-and-coming actress was chosen by Guerlain not just for her fresh face but also for her singing talents – she recorded the soundtrack for the advertising campaign, and even treated us to an impromptu rendition of La Vie En Rose at the table. Tres amusant.

In the interest of Beauty Notes Daily, I also quizzed her on her favourite products.

‘I always take my makeup off with Guerlain’s Biphase Eye And Lip Make-Up Remover [£23], then I use Clarins Multi-Active Night Prevention Plus Lotion [£39.15] or Guerlain’s Midnight Secret [£54.81], which is fantastic,’ she told me. ‘I also love Kiehl’s Crème De Corp Soy Milk And Honey Body Polish [£20.55], which I use as an exfoliator for my face, too.’

‘Make-up wise, my minimum is a bit of foundation followed by powder, and mascara. I always feel better when my skin tone is evened out and my eyes are defined. If I’m going for full make-up, I’ll add a grey or brown eye shadow, eyeliner and blush – I love the ones by Chanel.’

Tres jolie.
